About the Author
Adam Balestra is a first-time children's book author, dad of three, and the creator of The Little Rocket — a silly space adventure born from one of the most difficult chapters of his family's life.
When his daughter Layla was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, Adam and his wife Jenn traded off days at the hospital. On the nights Adam came home exhausted, he'd power through bedtime routines and make up stories in the dark for his boys. This story became their absolute favorite. The anticipation. The surprise. The deep belly laughs that lingered for minutes but felt like an eternity.
It made everything feel normal again.
After months of telling it, the story became a staple in the Balestra household. Adam promised all three of his kids he'd publish it someday. The Little Rocket is him keeping that promise.
Adam lives in New Jersey with his wife Jenn and their three children, Lay, Vin and Cam.
